Our Staff

Our funeral directors have the experience and knowledge to arrange for meaningful funeral services, but our family does not end with them. Supporting them is a full time team comprised of Receptionists, Bookkeepers, Custodians, and Livery Drivers. All of whom are there to ensure that our response to your family is timely and concise.

Salvatore Farenga Sal is the senior director of the firm. Sal has been a licensed New York State Funeral Director since 1972. Since that time, Sal has had an extended education in funeral directing, professional and civic organizations and most of all; he has developed a keen sense of empathy for those in need. Sal’s strength is the ability to take his knowledge and experience and applying it to the practical aspects of the family business and the people we serve. Two major ways he accomplishes this is: By holding regular staff meetings and seminars in order to share knowledge with his staff, and by setting and maintaining his high standards of detail through all aspects of Farenga Brothers Inc. / David J. Hodder & Son and Gunipero-Farenga Funeral Homes.
