Santa Lancia, 83, of Bronx, NY, died on April 14, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on November 1, 1934 in Ripi, Frosinone, Italy to Domenico and Teresa Recine. She married Raffaele V. Lancia on January 24, 1954 in Italy. They had three children.
In 1962, she moved to America to join her husband who was already working here. She was a seamstress by trade and worked until her retirement. She lived in Bronx, NY for 56 years and built her home around her love for family, great meals, and an open door to all visitors. Her graciousness and excellence in all she did was apparent to all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, their three children, Claudio (Antoinette), Lino (Annmarie) and Lucy (Timothy), grandchildren (Nicole, Briana (Paul), Vincent, Justin, Kelsey, Frankie, Samantha), great-grandchildren (Paul and Joseph) and her sister Emilia Mariani.
Her proudest accomplishment was her family, who is heartbroken by her loss but is committed to maintaining her traditions, her faith and deep family values.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 16, 2018 & Tuesday April 17, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Farenga Bros. Funeral Home 920 Allerton Ave., Bronx, NY 10469
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Lucy's Church, Bronx, NY
