PRENDIVILLE - MAURICE, a former Paper Handler for the New York Times, has died aged 85 years old. Maurice was a native of Castleisland, County Kerry, Ireland and came to America in 1957. Maurice joined his brother Michael at the New York Times and was a member of the Paper Handlers Union Local #1 and served as Assistant Chairman for the federation of Paper Handlers until he retired in 1997. Maurice was an avid reader of the Kerryman newspaper and attended Gaelic Park in his younger days. Maurice loved Irish music and was know to enjoy a Polka set or Waltz. Maurice is survived by his brother Billy, sister-in-law Joan, Nieces and Nephews in Ireland and America and his New York family Michael and Caroline Dollard. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 13th at 10.45am in St. Barnabus Church, Bronx, New York. Internment afterwards to St Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
