Christopher “Chris” Alexander Torres, passed away unexpectedly on April 10, 2022 at the age of 19.
A life that was just beginning, cut too short. Even though Chris was taken from us before his time, he lived his life to the fullest every single day. His love, laughter and smile will leave a lasting impact on all who knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed by all.
The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Chris. He loved driving his brand-new car, spending time with his family, and hanging out with his friends. He had a smile that would light up a room, and a laugh that made everyone laugh with him. He was very sweet to whomever he met and was there for people when they needed him.
Chris was a loving son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend.
He is survived by his parents, Charles Torres, and Georgia Giakoumaros Sgambati (Matthew). His adoring sisters, Sophia, Eleni, and Alexandra. Grandparents Theresa Torres, and Theodora & Tsambicos Giakoumaros. Great-Grandmother Anna Sanz. Uncles, Aunts, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his Grandfather Charles “Jocko” Torres Sr, and Great-Grandparents Mary Mercurio, and Eleni & Andreas Loizou.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, Yonkers, NY
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY
