Obituary of Rose Lanzano

Rose Lanzano, a long time resident of Woodlawn in the Bronx, NY, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 28th.   Rose was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on January 24,1920.  She moved to New York City with her family as a young girl.  She lived in Woodlawn for the past 60 years.  Rose was an active member of St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church.   Her husband, of 55 years, Carl, Sr. predeceased Rose, as did her daughter, Elizabeth.  She is survived by her three children:  Carl, his wife Louisa, Dolores Lanzano Raimo, wife of Mario Raimo, and Christopher and his wife, Karyn; 10 grandchildren:  Antonina Basile, Bernadette Rohan, Alissa Minio, Renata Sasso, Dina Raimo, Giancarlo Lanzano, Joseph Raimo, Laura Civitano, Alexander Lanzano and Gerard Lanzano; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Rose has left her family an inspirational legacy as a role model by being a loving, caring and supportive mother and grandmother throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice, in Rose’s name.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2:00 - 5:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY  10704.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY.

Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
