Obituary of Thomas Smyth

Thomas P. Smyth passed away peacefully on Monday, November 26th, 2018.

Tommy was born in Granard, Co. Longford Ireland to Andrew and Florence Smyth on October 20th, 1926.  Tommy came to America in 1958, where he met Alice Clarke.  They married on October 22rd, 1960 and where happily married for 58 years.  Tommy worked as a paper handler for the New York Times for 30 + years.

Tommy is survived by his beloved wife Alice (Lecia) of Killian Co. Cavan, sons: Thomas (Geraldine), James (Lucy) and Patrick (Kelley). He is survived by four loving grandchildren: Alice, Thomas, MaryEllen and Grace.

Tommy is survived by his brother Frank and sisters: Florence, Martha, Rose and Sara. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Florence and brothers: Fr. James, Andrew, John, Patrick, Peter, and Phillip.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 30th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9, at Hodder Funeral Home, 899 McLean Ave., Yonkers NY 10704

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 11am, at St. Paul the Apostles Church, 602 McLean Ave., Yonkers NY. 10705

Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
