Alfred F. Giambattista left this earth on Tuesday April 28, 2020, succumbing to years of declining health. Alfred was born in the Bronx on July 19, 1949 and was a graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He had been Food Service Director in various hotels, restaurants, and healthcare facilities, as well as a central figure in his family’s Manhattan restaurant. He enjoyed growing vegetables, in his home garden from seeds he dried, as well playing and watching sports, especially the NY Yankees. Alfred was a father and grandfather, survived by his three children: Adam, Nicholas, Arianna and their families. He will be dearly missed by his loving brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Jane Giambattista, his sister: Maria Giambattista, and his sister and brother-in-law: Ann and Michael Ferrell. “Uncle Al” also leaves behind the love of seven nieces and nephew and their children, as well as extended family and friends. He will be laid to rest next to his parents: Adam and Sarah, at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx. God Bless and Rest in Peace.
