Beatriz Soriano

Obituary of Beatriz Soriano

Beatriz Soriano, 67, of the Bronx, originally of La Caleta, Dominican Republic, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Born on June 20, 1953 in La Caleta, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of the late Felix Sanchez and Fabriciana Soriano-Lora both of La Caleta, Dominican Republic. Beatriz was full of life and loved being a mother. Her dreams of a better life and traveling are what propelled her to initially immigrate to the United States where she would eventually raise her family. She was a phenomenal cook who took great pride in feeding people – food as a source of joy and a means to bring people together brought her great pleasure -- a wonderful friend, and an exceptional, steadfast mother. Her children were her pride and joy, and she loved traveling to spend time with each of them. She loved to make people laugh and spent time socializing with her many friends. Her love of flowers inspired a love of gardening in her children who will carry on her legacy, in part, in that regard. Family was the most important thing in her life. Beatriz is survived by her three children – daughter, Dulely A. Perez (Neftali) of Arverne, NY; son Danilo E. Delgado, Jr. (Anna Moran) of Rockville, MD; and daughter Dalyn B. Delgado of the Bronx, NY; her stepfather, Luis “Papucho” Frias of the Bronx, NY; and two grandchildren, Samyah Perez and Leilani Perez; three brothers, Luis Soriano (Jacqueline); Nelson “Maximo” Soriano (Miriam) of North Bergen, NJ; and Ernesto Soriano (Meredith “Evita” Murphy) of New York; and several nieces, Perla Soriano, Michelle Soriano, Crystal Soriano, Loida Soriano, Nora Soriano, Danielle Soriano, and Fabriciana Soriano. Beatriz will be dearly missed, but fondly remembered in every way. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 2:00-6:00PM ET at the Farenga Brothers Funeral Home at 920 Allerton Ave. Bronx, NY 10469. Interment will follow at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, or the Gastric Cancer Foundation in her honor. You may also honor her memory by planting flowers, white roses were her favorite.
