Obituary of Margaret Pauline Farnan

Margaret Pauline Farnan (nee Wallace) passed away peacefully in her home on October 21, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Margaret was born in Annascaul, Co. Kerry, Ireland in 1938. She was known to her closest friends and family as Pauline. She was the youngest of seven children and a beloved sister of Mikie, Nora, Maureen, Bridie, Abbie and Kathleen (all predeceased). Pauline was married in 1959 to her beloved husband Michael F. Farnan born in Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, Ireland who she has joined now in heaven. The two spent the next 26 years together raising a family of seven. She was a proud and loving mother of Margaret, Bridie, Bernice, Michael, Noreen, Colleen and Philomena. An adoring grandmother to Noreen, Shannon, Liam, Coleen, Patrick, Michael, Kerrie, Kristen, Tommy, Colette, Ashley, Shannon, Michael, Kayla, Hailey, Owen, Katie, Johnny, Claire, Ethan and Aiden. Pauline will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her memory will live on through them all. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to: Michael J. Viewing will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 4:00 - 8:00 in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held… Our Parishes are also practicing recommended guidelines, limiting the number of people that may gather in church. Seating for family will be designated, and friends will be allowed in as room permits, however, this will be limited. If you would like to attend the Funeral Mass, please understand that seating cannot be guaranteed and you should be prepared to observe from a distance.
