Obituary of Lynne Greco
Lynne Greco passed away in November 2020 at the age of 72. She was born November 5, 1948 in Pelham Bay the only child of Robert Hardigan and Blanche Jedlicka. On November 14, 1981 she married Robert Greco. She lived her life in Pelham Gardens in the Bronx and spent childhood summers at the family country home in Mahopac. Lynne was a remarkable educator for 45 years. She began her teaching career at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Belmont. After a year at PS 89 she spent the next 30 years at PS 83. Lynne received her Master's Degree in Education as a Reading Specialist from the College of New Rochelle. Lynne's love for the theatre and dance was strong and she introduced that love to her students by writing and choreographing her own musicals which her 4th, 5th and 6th students performed. She also worked with the Morris Park Community Association's After School program putting on musical reviews. Lynne Greco nee Hardigan was the kind of teacher who will be remembered fondly and forever by all students she taught. She made an indelible impression on former students who went on to become doctors, lawyers, business owners and community leaders. She will always be remembered by her family, her many friends and colleagues. Entombment will take place on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:30pm in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, NY
