Obituary of Mary Farrelly

Mary Farrelly (nee Geraghty), of Yonkers and the Bronx, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in 1938 to John and Mary Geraghty in Kilfenora, Co. Clare, Ireland. Devoted wife to the late Mattie of Virginia, Co. Cavan. Loving mother to Anne Marie (Aidan) and Bernadette (Dinesh). Beloved Grandma to Jack & Luke DENNIS and Kiran KUNDER. Cherished sister of Ann (Dublin), Gussie (Clare), John (Dublin), Brigid (Wexford) and Margaret (Meath). Dearest sister-in-law to Jane, Nuala, Martin and Jai. She was predeceased by her brother Patrick. She will be missed by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews here in the US and in Ireland. A proud Banner woman, Mary adored listening to Irish music, but would quickly lower the volume to watch her beloved NY METS play. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held… Our Parishes are also practicing recommended guidelines, limiting the number of people that may gather in church. Seating for family will be designated, and friends will be allowed in as room permits, however, this will be limited. If you would like to attend the Funeral Mass, please understand that seating cannot be guaranteed and you should be prepared to observe from a distance.
