Juanita Green

Obituary of Juanita Green

(Sister) Juanita Williams Green was the daughter of her late mother, Ida and father, Robert Williams. Juanita was born on January 31, 1941 in Harlem, New York. She was educated in the New York Public School System. Juanita worked and retired from the New York Telephone Company, which is now known as Verizon. Juanita met William (Billy) Green and they married. In that union, they had their beloved son, Damien. Damien is now the father of four children. Juanita deeply loved her grandchildren Deandre, Cameron, Natalie and Gabrielle. Juanita was a child of God and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus, and looked to the Holy Spirit of God for guidance in her walk in life that would honor God. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church. Later Juanita joined the White Rock Baptist Church in Harlem and she became an Evangelist in 1995 there. As her illness became a factor in traveling, she joined Trinity Baptist Church, which was close to her home. Juanita also went to the church of The Nazarene for Bible Study, which is located in the Bronx. Juanita truly was one of God’s precious servants. She was led by the Holy Spirit of God to learn, teach and speak the word of God to family and friends, and many came to the knowledge of the Lord. Juanita encouraged many to read the Holy Word of God and she would help them understand what the Bible says. Juanita wanted people to see the manifestation of Jesus in her. Juanita touched many lives in the way she made them feel like they were the only one that mattered. Juanita had that quiet spirit of love that was shed on all who met her. Psalm 34:3 (in King James Bible) says “O Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.” Hallelujah! Says Juanita Juanita leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving son Damien, Mayra and her grandchildren, Deandre, Cameron, Natalie and Gabrielle. Her cousin Louis, wife Sonia, a host of nieces and nephews, he God child, Deidre Matthews and her lifelong sister friends. Cannot name them all, but to name some; Sandra Miller, Laura Morik, Karen Bunn, Barbara Pratt, Elder Veronica (Ronnie) Davis, Evangelist Barbara Smith and Margie Robinson.
