Obituary of Josephine O'Donohue

Josephine O‘Donohue entered into eternal life on November 22, 2021. Josephine was born in New York City to the late Patrick and Margaret. She was predeceased by her loving husband George, her siblings Mary, John, Helen and Margaret. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Catherine), Kathy Knight (Richard), Robert, and Patricia. Her grandchildren Kevin (Kim), Kara, Alicia, and great-grandchildren Luke and Connor. As well as many nieces and nephews. 

Jo was born and raised in the Vinegar Hill section of Manhattan and was a member of Annunciation Parish. After marrying George they moved to the Fordham section of the Bronx, St Nicholas of Tolentine Parish, where they raised their 4 children. After her husband became ill, Jo returned to the workplace and enjoyed working at Lehman College. She later moved to Woodlawn and St. Barnabas Parish where she proudly served as a Eucharistic minister. Jo was a woman of great faith saying the rosary and attending daily Mass. She will be sadly missed.

Viewing will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 Mc Lean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November  29, 2021 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY 10470 click for livestream:  or

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY 10532
