Obituary of Roger Burns

Roger Lawrence Burns passed away on 1/3/2022 in Venice Florida surrounded by family.

Roger was born in 1926 in NYC and raised in Co. Sligo, Ireland.

He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine P. Burns ( Nee Whelan) and had five children, Michael, Roger, Maureen, Kevin and Anne Marie. He also leaves behind two daughter - in - laws Loreen Burns (Nee Forrester ) and Mary Burns ( Nee Scanlon ) as well as 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Roger loved to laugh, play golf and enjoy a glass of wine on his lanai, overlooking Innisfree his Florida home. He will be missed by his many friends and family in Florida, Woodlawn and Ireland.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 4:00 - 9:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 Mc Lean Avenue, Yonkers,  NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY
