Obituary of Jose Morales
Jose Morales 05/09/1924-01/14/2022
Jose Morales, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and uncle was born on the beautiful coast of Puerto Rico in the town of Aguadilla - yes, he swam like a fish and loved the ocean. He is survived by his second wife and nine of his twelve children.
One of his legacies was his work ethics. He often proudly spoke of his job in Puerto Rico when he was a bus driver on Ramey Base transporting soldiers. He emigrated to the United States, New York City in 1948 and began working at Metropolitan Hospital from where he retired. Even after retiring he continued working at the Bronx Zoo.
He loved many and many more loved him. He loved music and loved singing praises to his maker as a Seventh-Day Adventist. His children will remember his sense of humor, his storytelling, his infectious laugh, and his “joie de vie” (love of life).
We will not forget his saying “Recordar es vivir.”
