Obituary of Heather Etoile Sutton
Heather Etoile Sutton, 43, of Bronx, NY and formerly of Silver Spring, MD and Largo, FL, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Born in Safety Harbor, FL on May 10, 1978, she was the loving daughter of Helaine (Azoulay) Sutton and her husband Bradford Sutton, as well as her stepmother Donna DeSanto. In addition to her mother, stepmother, and father, Heather is survived by her beloved children Dylan and Evan Dublanica, and her husband Cody Dublanica. Also, she was the dear stepsister of David Hollis of Seattle, WA. In addition, she leaves behind her maternal step-grandmother Madeline Azoulay of Buffalo, NY and many relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, professional peers, and spiritual companions.
Heather graduated from St. Petersburg High School (International Baccalaureate) in 1996, achieved her B.A. in Psychology (cum laude) from Bucknell University in 2000, and further achieved her MBA from the University of Maryland University College in 2004. Heather enjoyed working in fashion before devoting herself to a long and rewarding career in philanthropy, first with a focus on elder care and wellness at the International Longevity Center (ILC) and then as an expert in grant-writing, fundraising, and board governance with the Heckscher Foundation for Children, CUNY Graduate Center, and her own firm, genARISE LLC, an executive coaching program designed specifically for first-generation college students, supporting their identity formation, clarification of values, and career development.
Heather’s pastimes included world travel, millinery (fascinators), painting, quilt- and card-making, and meditation. She was a member of Science of Spirituality.
Her greatest and lasting joy, however, was her sons, to whom she was tirelessly and eternally devoted.
