Obituary of Patrick J. Lynch

 

Patrick J. Lynch was born in Dublin, Ireland on August 15, 1941 to Felix Lynch (Cavan) and Molly (McGovern) Lynch (Louth). He and his two brothers, Felix and Tom, were raised in Cabra, Dublin before moving to Cavan.

 

At the age of 18, Paddy moved to England before immigrating to the U.S.A in 1964. Settling in the Bronx, Paddy earned a living playing the guitar and singing around the bars before venturing into the bar business himself. He opened 3 bars, 2 in the Bronx and one in Jersey City. Then he started Dublin Jukeboxes, renting jukeboxes, video games, pool tables and then ATM’ across the Burroughs and Westchester.

 

Paddy and his life partner, Eileen, lived life to to fullest. Together they enjoyed playing golf at their home club the Links Unionvale. They also spent time traveling to Florida and Ireland with close friends and playing golf. Every February they enjoyed the Irish cruise. Paddy was up for anything and the most patient man.

 

He leaves behind, his partner Eileen Durnin (Dublin) and his step children, Siobhan (Vincent), Joseph (Nuala) and Mary (Ken). He was loved by all his grandchildren, Katie, Lily, Aine, Sinead, Kenneth, Charlie, Annie, Sarah, Grace and Jack. He is predeceased by his brother Tom (Valerie) and brother Felix(Maureen) and loved his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Brendan, Davies, Michelle and late Caroline. Patrick will be sorely missed by all his family and friends in New York and Ireland.

 

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Private Cremation.
