Gloria and family, I am devastated to hear of Karl's passing. He and I always joked he was my work husband at CLO. Although it's been a couple of years since I last saw him he was always one of my favorite people.

I am very sad to learn of Karl's passing. We worked together at the Lab of Ornithology, where we connected over our shared love of "Dr. Who" and fishing. I always enjoyed Karl's fish stories and recall how excited he was a few years ago over a particularly large catch on Cayuga Lake. He seemed to always be looking forward to his next fishing adventure. I will always remember Karl as a sweet and gracious man, who always greeted me with a smile and welcoming hello at the start of each work day. He is truly missed. Sincerely, Karen W
