Obituary of Josephine Massa

Josephine Ann Massa "Joanne" died on August 2, 2022 at the age of 84. Joanne was born to Stephen and Katherine Turrise of the Bronx in 1938. She attended St. Anselm Grammar School and St. Pius High School. In July 1962, she married John Massa of the Bronx and had one child, Stephen. 

Her life was full and revolved around family and friends. She was very active in her church community. She enjoyed travelling to new places and bringing home souvenirs for her family and friends.

Joanne is predeceased by her husband John. She is survived by her son Stephen (Elizabeth), brothers Peter (Mary Ann) and Stephen (Nina), granddaughter Catherine, and various nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. in Farenga Bros. Funeral Home, 920 Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10469

Mass will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Solace Church, Bronx, NY 10462

Entombment will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY 10465
