Obituary of Lucille Bridget Rahman
Lucille Bridget Rahman, 81, of Bronx, New York, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Albert Einstein Hospital in Bronx, New York.
The Farenga Brothers Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held at 920 Allerton Avenue, Bronx, NY 10469 on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 pm.
The funeral service will be held at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church located at 1510 Adee Avenue Bronx, NY 10469 on Friday, September 9, 2022, at 10 am, with Reverend Kareem R. Smith officiating. The burial will take place at Gate Of Heaven, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
Lucille was born in Fullerton Village, Cedros, Trinidad to Carmen David and Johnas Thomas on October 8, 1940. She married Rawlins Rahman and they were blessed with five children. After several years in Trinidad and Tobago, the family moved to The Bronx, New York. Following her schooling in Trinidad, she worked as a clerk, and in New York she established her career as a bank teller and specialist for more than 35 years. Throughout her many years at J. P. Morgan Chase, Lucille received several recognitions and awards for her exceptional performance. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, gardening and participating in church activities. As a devoted and passionate Catholic, she was involved in many charities and church organizations, especially Holy Rosary Black Ministry and Missionaries of the Poor.
Lucille is survived by her brothers Milton, Clyde, Ancil and her sister, Aileen, and her children Sharon, Charmaine (Marlon, deceased) Wendy, Barry and Bernard (Marisa).
She adored her eight grandchildren: Anthony, Nia, Aisha, Chamar, Amani, Alexa, Zarah, and Branden and her great granddaughter, Sofia Lily.
She is preceded in death by her husband Rawlins (Roy) Rahman, her mother Carmen, her sister Hazelann, and her brothers Vincent and Neil.
