Obituary of Joan Raible

Joan B Raible, age 86 of Woodlawn passed away peacefully on the morning on September 12, 2022 with her loving family at her side holding her hands.

Joan was the beloved daughter of Anna and Arthur Briggs.

Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph, her sister Lorraine and husband David, and her sister-in-law Katherine and husband Lucian.

To continue her memories and positive outlook on life are her daughters, Louise and Linda, her son-in-laws Kevin and Greg, her grandsons Joseph and wife Natalia, Keith and girlfriend Shay, Kenny and fiancé Christy, and Stephen, her great-granddaughters Luna and Mira Joan, her sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Rudy, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends. Joan was amazing to her dog Buttons, along with other family pets including Mia, Midnight, Sandy, Little Bear, and Snickers.

Joan enjoyed life to its fullest and her priority in life was to care for her family. It delighted her to spend time with her family and cook for every holiday. Joan loved to be a constant source of support for her immediate and extended family and friends, whether that be in person or by telephone.

Joan was the light and center of her family. She will be missed deeply, but her memories will live with all of us forever.

Joan loved flowers but also loved to donate with her late husband Joseph to St. Judes Children Research Hospital and Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Viewing will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 3:00 - 8:00  P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY
