James Barrett

June 8, 1963 - September 13, 2022 age 59.

He was born and raised in The Bronx, NY. James retired from NYPD in the 46th Precinct.

He is the son of Ann and the late James Barrett.

James is survived by his sons Daniel, Christopher, Kenneth & Jason, his fiance Cara Howfield, brother Kevin (Karen) Barrett, former wife and mother of his children Laura Barrett many nephews and one niece, the coolest Cousins, Aunts & Uncles and the most amazing friends any man could have been blessed to have.

After the people most important in his life, Jimmy's next greatest love were the New York Rangers. He loved playing hockey as a kid and enjoyed any game that happened to be on TV that night. Jimmy was a member of both the Fordham Shamrocks and NYPD Gaelic Football Clubs.

Heaven just got a whole lot more fun.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Private Cremation
