Obituary of Marie T. Sullivan

Marie T. Sullivan (née Donovan) entered eternal rest on Monday, September 19 at the age of 94; just a few months shy of her 95th birthday. She passed away peacefully at St. Patrick’s Home in the Bronx surrounded by her loved ones.

Marie is survived by her 3 loving children, Noreen Sullivan, Margaret Sullivan Kealy, Michael Sullivan (Janice Budd), daughter-in-law, Patricia Sullivan as well as her cherished grand-children, Ryan (Christine) Sullivan, Michael (Dawn) Sullivan, Timothy (Mallory) Sullivan, Gina (Mike) Cozza, Laurie (Chris) Halstead, Mariah (Joseph James) Nelson, Eli (Yun) Budd and 12 great grandchildren as well as many caring nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband, John A. Sullivan, brother, Jack Donovan (Janice), son, John M. Sullivan (Patricia) and her son-in-law, Daniel J. Kealy (Margaret).

Marie was always admired for her kindness, good nature and zest for life.  She valued her Irish heritage, her Woodlawn roots and traveling to West Palm Beach where she spent many years as a “snow bird” later in life.  Marie was also a devout Catholic; her faith was a constant source of comfort for her.

Marie will be sorely missed by her family and friends for her wittiness, sense of humor and her tremendous spirit. May she rest in eternal peace.  Our loving memories will be treasured for an eternity.
 

Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY 10801
