Obituary of Florence Pearson

Florence Pearson was born on May 23, 1920, to Hattie and Ernest Arrington. After the passing of her mother, she worked alongside her sister Sally taking care of their family.

At a young age, she met Frank and they wed in Roanoke, Virginia, going on to have five children. William Gainer, Lavern, Leslie Alfred, Sylvia Elizabeth and Cynthia Anita. She dedicated her life to being a fantastic mother, always being supportive and encouraging to her children. Even though she only went to the seventh grade, she always encouraged her children to finish school.

She supported us through the many passions and difficulties in our lives, never giving up on us.

Florence was a passionate person always feeding my brothers friends as well as neighbors. That continued throughout her life cooking and helping those who were ill. She was known for making fried chicken and potato salad for friends who were sick as well as preparing for gatherings in her congregation.

She will surely be missed.
