Obituary of Honora Dillon

Please share a memory of Honora to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Honora “Honey” Ellen Dillon, a resident of Port Saint Lucie, FLA, died at the age of 74 November 2, 2022.

Honey is survived by her son Sean, her sister and best friend Fran, grandchildren Patrick, Kenneth, Gianna and Brady, daughter-in-law Renee, brother-in-law Mike and nieces Jeannine and Kelly.  She is predeceased by her sons Patrick and James.

Honey was born on March 24, 1948 to Frank and Mary Rooney in the Bronx, NY, where she grew up and attended school.  She migrated to Florida in 1997.

Honey was a dedicated mother and was a master Medical Transcriptionist most of her life.  She was an excellent cook, and if you were fortunate enough to eat at her table you know that her meals were always creative and delicious.

Honey shared a special bond with her grandchildren.  She often boasted about watching KJ play baseball and football, and she and Brady loved to play their game trying to see who can say “I Love You More” before hanging up on their calls.  Honey cherished visits to her Florida home by Patrick and Gianna, where they loved to swim in the pool, go to the beach and barbecue under the stars.    She loved completing crossword puzzles and was quite skilled at it.  She routinely did five or more crosswords per day.

Honey loved to laugh and had a sharp sense of humour.  Very sharp indeed.  And we all know it.  Her laugh was infectious.  Thank you for that Honey Bunny.

Honey is loved by many and will be missed by all.  We know you are up there with your boys looking down on us and embracing them with your loving hugs and cracking jokes.  We will always hear your laughter.
