With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Michael James Feerick on April 14th, 2023 in Valhalla, NY.

Michael was born on March 4th, 1938 to Mary and John Feerick in Hollymount, Co. Mayo, Ireland. He was the youngest of 8 children, Patrick, Bridget (Bridie), John, Sr. Anne Marita (Philomena), Kathleen, Mary (Mae), and Margaret (Peggy). He moved from Ireland to Inwood, NY, and later met the love of his life, Mary (Falvey), at a dance in New York City. Together they moved to Yonkers where they remained to raise their 3 children.

He is survived by his devoted wife Mary and his three loving children, Donna (Michael), Marie (Tad), and Edward (Gina). Michael will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Hugh, Shannon, Michael, and Daniel as well as his many nieces and nephews. 

Michael was employed as a carpenter at the New York City District Council of Carpenters.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as friend to all whose lives he touched. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed Irish music and Gaelic football, as well as gardening and watching the Yankees. A long-time resident of the Yonkers area, he loved his neighborhood and cherished the friendships he made during his life. He will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A visitation and service will be held on Monday, April 17th, 2023 from 4-7 pm at Hodder/Farenga Funeral Home at 899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 18th at Saint Paul The Apostle Church at 602 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY.

Interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
