Obituary of Winifred Breen

Winifred "Winnie" Breen of Woodlawn, formerly of Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim, Ireland passed away on May 8. She was 87 years old.  She was the beloved wife of Jeremiah for 56 years. Predeceased by her husband, Jerry, son, Dermot, and siblings Rose, Thomas, Betty, Kathleen, Peggy, Ellie, her twin sister Bridie and John Eddie. Cherished mother of Margaret (Seamus) Flynn and mother in law to Jennifer Breen. Loving nana to Ciara, Kayley, Kyle, Julia and Jimmy. Winnie will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her many nieces, nephews and cousins in the U.S. and abroad.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aisling Irish Community Center in Winnie’s name.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4-8 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial  will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 12:00 P.M. in  St. Barnabas Church, Bronx,  NY.

Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
